Mathematics and Statistics
The Program of Mathematics and Statistics invites applications
for two
tenure-track positions, commencing in September 2006. Rank
and salary
will be commensurate with qualifications. A Ph.D. in Mathematics
or
Statistics as well as excellent teaching and research credentials
are
required.
The Program of Mathematics and Statistics offers a B.S. and
an M.S.
degree and it is a major participant in the interdisciplinary
Ph.D.
program in Computational Analysis and Modeling. Research interests
in
the general areas of numerical mathematics, statistics, discrete
mathematics, and bioinformatics are desirable, although excellent
candidates will be considered regardless of area of specialty.
The
successful candidates are expected to work in interdisciplinary
research
teams and to teach Mathematics or Statistics in the college’s
interdisciplinary undergraduate and graduate curricula.
An application must include a current curriculum vitae, teaching
and
research statements, and at least three letters of reference.

LECTURER POSITIONS
Mathematics and Statistics
Louisiana Tech University
The Mathematics and Statistics Program at Louisiana Tech University
anticipates filling two non-tenure track Lecturer positions,
commencing
September 1, 2006. These positions require a Ph.D. in either
Mathematics or Computational Analysis and Modeling. The successful
applicants must have excellent teaching credentials as they
will be
active participants in integrated engineering and science
programs,
serve as model teachers for the College, and be involved in
innovative
curriculum development. Teaching responsibilities will include
undergraduate mathematics and statistics courses at all levels.
A
teaching load of 27 semester hours per nine month academic
year is
anticipated. U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required.
Salary
will be commensurate with qualifications. Please send a letter
