What is Agriculture Education?
A Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Agriculture Education prepares students to teach agriculture at the middle- and high school level. Students in this program take a variety of courses in animal science, agricultural marketing and economics, agricultural mechanics, and natural sciences.
Careers in Agriculture Education
Students have found agricultural education to be an exciting and rewarding way to continue their involvement with agriculture. Because of the broad educational background, agricultural education graduates also are qualified, outside the area of teaching, for positions such as industry trainer, personnel manager, and public relations specialist.
About the Agriculture Education program
The Department of Agricultural Sciences in the College of Applied and Natural Sciences manages this program in conjunction with the College of Education.
High school and pre-preparation
