"I have never let schooling interfere with my education."
- Mark Twain
Louisiana Tech students prefer action, adventure, and an all-around fun time. Some of Tech's annual entertainment highlights include Welcome Week, Spring Fling, Homecoming, Greek Week, Miss Tech Pageant, concerts, comedians, and theatrical and musical productions.
Your college experience revolves around student organizations that, like your classes, will help you learn more about your passions and your goals in life. And you'll have fun doing it, whether you're singing a solo in a play, petitioning your fellow students during a Student Government Association meeting or perfecting your plié at a ballet recital.
You can also hang out at the Lambright Intramural Center, which has basketball and racquetball courts, weight rooms, exercise equipment fitted with 15-inch flat-screen TVs, pool tables, paintball facilities, and a new, state-of-the-art bowling alley.
Rain or shine, the M.S. Carroll Natatorium is a great place to relax. You can go for a swim in an Olympic-sized swimming pool in the shape of a "T". On those sunny days, you can layout on the tanning deck overlooking Tech Drive.
Construction of the new natatorium is currently underway adjacent to the Lambright. As part of a $50 million recreational construction project, the area will have two pools, a rock-climbing wall, and an outdoor cafe. Projects already completed for recreational facilities are new tennis courts, track and bowling alley.
