Agricultural Sciences: Programs of Study: B.S. in Agriculture Education
The Agriculture Education (B.S.) degree program prepares the student for teaching vocational agriculture in secondary schools. The Department of Agricultural Sciences manages this program in conjunction with the College of Education. Students in Agriculture Education must meet the general requirements for admission to teacher education in the College of Education's upper division.
Course work in technical agriculture provides the student with a background in the fields of Plant Science, Animal Science, Forestry, Agricultural Business, and other areas associated with agriculture. An active collegiate chapter of the Future Farmers of America (FFA) provides students with opportunities to develop leadership and other skills.
The program is listed under the College of Education's Curriculum, Instruction, and Leadership section. Inquiries about the program can be made to either the Department of Agricultural Sciences or to the College of Education.
