Block & Bridle's Little International livestock showmanship contest provides students with great hands-on experience helpful in any future career.  Students chose among 5 different species of livestock -- cattle (beef and dairy), sheep, swine, and horses.  Students work with their animals over the spring quarter to prepare for the show held in early May.  During the show, the students are judged on everything from how they show the animal, to how they answer the judges' general questions on the breed.  The judges choose a champion and reserve champion for each class, who then go on to a round-robin competition, where they are judged on knowledge of showing all the different species.
