The Early Childhood Education Center (ECEC) at Louisiana Tech University is a multi-purpose facility that serves both the university and the community. Under the tutelage of Director Laura Chestnut, the Center is committed to providing an excellent learning experience for the area's children. The program is enhanced by the use of an innovative curriculum, well-trained staff, developmentally appropriate equipment and individual attention. We are accredited by NAEYC's National Academy of Early Childhood Programs.
The Center is an extension of the School of Human Ecology at Louisiana Tech. University students gain experience with young children through observation, volunteer opportunities and as part of the teaching team at the Center. Children who attend the school participate in a variety of research projects throughout the year. Parents are informed of any ongoing projects.
