My name is Maggie Dowies and I am a Health Information Management student. I am pursuing the 4 year degree to be a Health Information Administrator. I have attended Louisiana Tech for 4 years and I will graduate in Spring 2009. I am Vice President of the Health Information Club, Sigma Rho and I enjoy every minute of it! I am also an active member of the Student Advancement Team. I am from the small town of Homer. My parents and younger brother are my support system, and my grandparents mean the world to me. When I am not in the basement of GTM, I have a wonderful job babysitting two precious little boys. I have a group of very close, special friends that I spend the rest of my time with.
Jessica Bratton Hall

My name is Jessica Bratton Hall. I’m a 22 year old HIM major here at Louisiana Tech. I’m enrolled in the 2-year RHIT online program. I chose HIM as my major after working in the medical records department at a local hospital. Working at the hospital gave me a glimpse of how different things work and I wanted to further that knowledge into a career. I enjoy all of the HIM classes and professors. I went to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette before transferring to Louisiana Tech and I have to say that the program and teachers are superior at Tech. The online program is great. You do have to have focus to attend school this way though. I have the freedom to view my lectures anytime I want to as long as my assignments are turned in on schedule. I would refer anyone to the HIM program at Tech if they asked.
