Twelve-month tenure-track position available July 1, 2009 in the School of Biological Sciences at Louisiana Tech University, a Doctoral/Research University of 11,000 students. Our dynamic, collegial unit has 21 faculty and approximately 450 undergraduate and 35 graduate students. Qualifications: Candidates should have earned a Ph.D. in biology or closely related field and possess strong leadership and communication skills. We seek candidates at the rank of associate or full professor with demonstrated administrative and management experience - e.g., as evidenced by grant administration, curriculum development, or other academic leadership. Our school is in a period of dynamic growth, with seven assistant professors hired in the previous two years. We are an energetic, enthusiastic, collegial, and collaboratively-minded faculty. Qualifications include Master's Degree in Merchandising or related area with at least 18 graduate hours in the field is required.
