Naomi Brack
  • Currently enrolled in a state approved ADN program.
  • Currently enrolled in or will enter your second year of the ADN program in the fall.

James D. Durante
  • Work for a long term care facility that is a member of the American Health Care Association (AHCA)
  • Enrolled in an accredited RN or LPN program
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • Completion of brief essays regarding the applicants' interest and experience in long term care; and
  • An agreement to volunteer 25 hours of service to a long term care facility that is a member of the American Health Care Association
ESA
  • Must be Senior high school student who will be an incoming college freshmen student who ranks in the upper 25% of his/her graduating class, OR minimum GPA 3.0, OR minimum score of 20 ACT/ SAT 950 OR college student presently enrolled in an accredited college or university who has maintained a "B" average (3.0) during his/her college career, OR applicant may be enrolled for training in a technical school or any person returning to school after an absence to retrain job skills or obtain a degree.
  • Application must be accompanied by two current and signed letters of recommendation or personal letter or essay explaining why he/she is applying for a scholarship, and the most recent certified transcript of grades. The personal letter or essay must be an original.
Glenwood Regional Medical Center Auxillary
  • Must be a Junior, Senior or Graduate Student in college.
  • 2 Letters of reference from a teacher and/or employment supervisor, plus one letter of character reference.
Marvin T. Green Foundation Scholarship
  • Students in premedicine, predentistry, nursing and allied health fields.
  • Must be recommended by faculty member.
  • 3.3 GPA.
  • Nursing students must have completed a minimum of three quarters of the Nursing curriculum at the end of this academic year-normally consist of 33 credit hours of the Nursing curriculum.
LASN
  • Nursing GPA of 2.5 or better on a 4.0 scale.
  • Active LASN member on or before April 25 of year.
  • Involved in student activities and/or student government.
  • A letter of recommendation from nursing faculty and student body.
  • Non-traditional nursing student shall be one who is either married, divorced, a single parent, widowed, over 30 years of age, in possession of a college degree in another field, is non-Caucasian, or male.
  • Must show financial need.
Henry R. Mays, Jr.
  • GPA-2.5 or greater.
  • Exhibit a caring manner in the clinical area.
  • 3 letters of reference (one from clinical instructor (s).
  • Financial need is a consideration but not a requirement.

  • 2nd year clinical student-RN

  • Have an interest in a specific field of Nursing
  • Be able to participate at least 8 - 12 hours per week
Lettie Pate Whitehead
  • Must be female.
  • Permanent residence in one of the following: Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, Florida
  • Must be a Christian.
  • Must be an undergraduate student.
  • Must have had at least one quarter/semester of college credit.
  • Must be registered in one of the Allied Health fields.
  • Must have a 2.0 GPA.
  • Must have a current transcript.
  • Must have a letter of recommendation from your department head.
  • Must show financial need.
