Lieutenant Colonel La Daryl D. Franklin is a native of Shreveport, LA. LTC Franklin received a Masters Degree in Business Administration and Information Technology from TUI University in Los Alamitos, California in 2002. He received his Bachelors of Arts degree and was commission in the Army Corps of Engineers from Louisiana State University in Shreveport, LA in 1994. He is a graduate of Command and General Staff College, Command and Staff Services School and Engineer Officer Basic and Advanced Courses. LTC Franklin originally enlisted in the United States Army Reserve / Louisiana Army National Guard in 1988 as a junior enlisted Soldier where he deployed to Desert Storm in Saudi Arabia during 1991.

 

MSG Sidi LondonSenior Military Science Instructor

Master Sergeant Sidi London is the Senior Military Instructor for three universities and two community colleges. More on his autobiography will be coming soon.

 

CPT Rosaline JohnsonScholarship and Enrollment Officer

Captain Rosaline Johnson, a native of Los Angeles CA, serves as the Recruiting Officer to the Tiger Battalion for three universities and two community colleges. CPT Johnson’s background includes; a Bachelors of Art and a Masters of Art in Industrial and Organization Psychology from Louisiana Tech University in 2010. Captain Johnson enlisted in the Louisiana Army National Guard in 1996 where she deployed as a team leader with the 1083rd Combat HET Company in support of OEF/OIF from April 2003 to March 2004. Captain Johnson now serves as the Scholarship and Enrollment Officer/ Recruiting Operations Officer for GSU’s Army ROTC department and the Louisiana Army National Guard. Captain Johnson has one child and hails from Shreveport, LA.

 

CPT Brett CableAssistant Military Science Instructor

CPT Brett Cable joined the Tiger Battalion ROTC Program as the MS II Instructor and Training Officer in May of 2011. CPT Cable belongs to the Louisiana Army National Guard and has served for over 19 years with two deployments to Iraq and has been with the Army ROTC program for over 5 years. Previously served at Southern University and A & M College in Baton Rouge, LA as the MS I instructor and Training Officer, CPT Cable brings a wealth of knowledge and experience for the Tiger Battalion’s Cadets. CPT Cable is married with three children and hails from Monroe, LA.

 

MSG John PayneAssistant Military Science Instructor / Training NCO

Master Sergeant John Payne is the Training NCO for the University of Louisiana at Monroe. MSG Payne has been instructing with the Tiger Battalion for over 12 years. MSG Payne hails from Ruston, LA. More on his autobiography will be coming soon.

 

2LT Antonio TimsAssistant Military Science Instructor

Second Lieutenant Antonio Tims is a Senior Military Science instructor for the Tiger Battalion at the University of Louisiana at Monroe. 2LT Tims teaches the freshman and sophomore students, handles administrative needs, facilitates as a Liaison between the ROTC and the University. 2LT Antonio Tims has over 12 years of military experience and is a Platoon Leader with an Engineer company where he manages construction projects in the Louisiana Army National Guard. 2LT Antonio Tims hails from Monroe, LA.

 

SFC ParkerAssistant Military Science Instructor / National Guard Recruiter

SFC Jonathan Parker came to the Tiger Battalion ROTC Program as a liaison from the Louisiana Army National Guard and serves as a Military Instructor and Recruiter for the program and the Louisiana Guard. SFC Parker has an array of military and civilian education that includes; a Bachelors Degree from LA Tech in 2002, a Masters of Divinity from Liberty University in 2011 and is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Ministry Counseling with a concentration in Family Relations and Missions. His military history includes: United States Navy from 1993-1997, a Military Intelligence Analyst for the Special Warfare on the East Coast; the Louisiana Army National Guard from 1997 to the present and as an Engineering Supervisor, Recruiter and Officer Strength Manager. SFC Parker is married with five children and hails from Ruston, LA.

 

SFC ChildressAssistant Military Science Instructor / National Guard Recruiter

SFC Dawson Childress is currently on active duty with the Louisiana Army National Guard and is assigned to the University of Louisiana at Monroe’s Military Science Department. SFC Childress serves as an assistant military science instructor, cadet mentor, and recruiter for ROTC program. SFC Childress also recruits for the Louisiana National Guard’s officer candidate school and warrant officer positions and currently serves as an officer strength manager. SFC Childress is married with one child and hails from Mangham, LA.

 

Mr. Myron McWashingtonHuman Resources Administrator

Mr. Myron McWashington aka “Mc” serves as the key point of contact to the Professor of Military Science regarding the administration of the Cadet ROTC program. Mc is the key contributor to the Tiger Battalion's interviewing process for prospective cadets in determining their program eligibility and waiver requirements. Mc has over 21 years of Human Resource Experience extending from his military background. He served 15 years on active duty in the United States Navy as a Personnel-Man, and the last 6 years as both a civil service and a federal service employee in the Human Resource's Field. Mc is very active in his community and volunteers a lot of his free time in coaching the youth of north Louisiana.

 

Mr. Greg GallienHuman Resources Technician

Mr. Greg Gallien also serves as the key point of contact to the Professor of Military Science regarding the administration of the Cadet ROTC program. Greg is the key contributor to the Tiger Battalion's interviewing process for prospective cadets in determining their program eligibility and waiver requirements. Greg also serves as the Tiger Battalion Liaison to the 6th Brigade and Cadet Command for the surrounding universities. Greg is also a Captain in the Army reserves. He serves as the 2204th MSB’s battalion S4. Greg has over 20 years of Human Resource and Logistics Experience extending from his military background. Mr. Greg Gallien hails from Monroe, LA.

 

Mr. Michael DavisLogistics Technician

Mr. Michael Davis joined the ROTC Tiger Battalion on Dec 06, 2010 as the Logistics Technician. He brings a wealth of knowledge, skills, experience, professionalism and sage advice to our Cadets. Mr. Davis previously served for four years as the LOG Technician for the University of Wisconsin, La Crosse ROTC program. Mr. Davis served his military duties as a member of the US Air Force. He came to the U.S. Army in March of 2004 as a civilian employee in Germany while serving with the 39th Finance Battalion in Hanau, Germany. Mr. Davis hails from Philadelphia, PA and is married with three children and four grandchildren. Mr. Davis is an avid Philadelphia sports fan for life: win or lose.

 

Professor of Military Science’s Administrative Assistant

Mrs. Lillie Reed is a graduate of Louisiana Tech University with an AS in Office Administration/Word Processing. Lillie has worked for Grambling State University since June 1981. She joined the Military Science Army ROTC Department in 2003. As administrative assistant, Lillie brings over 30 years of experience/service to the Army ROTC Department. She provides administrative support for the University Cadre, Staff and Cadets by assisting in the completion of their many administrative tasks. Lillie is married, has three children, and three grandchildren.
