The Sloan Consortium is an institutional and professional leadership organization dedicated to integrating online education into the mainstream of higher education, helping institutions and individual educators improve the quality, scale, and breadth of online education.
A list of spring workshops can be found below (more information is available at http://www.sloan-c.org/2009ws_schedule). This January through March, the Sloan Consortium is offering Blended and Online Teaching Certificate programs, and these are available to interested faculty (click on the certificate tab at http://www.sloan-c.org/certificates to find out how you can receive a certificate in online education). Through the Office of the Vice-President of Academic Affairs, Louisiana Tech University is a member of the College Pass Professional Development Program, which allows faculty at member institutions to enroll in sessions at a discounted price. In addition, some faculty training sessions are free of charge for member institutions, such as the January 2009 sessions listed below.
