Google Apps
Google Docs is a free, internet-based application that allows users to create and share documents, spreadsheets and presentations online. It can be accessed anytime and from anywhere with an internet connection. Collaborators are added to a document and given access to view and edit each document.
Google Earth is a virtual globe program that maps the Earth and allows users to search and view locations such as schools, parks, points of interest and home addresses. Students will be able to measure distances between points, set up information feeds, create content, by superimposing images obtained from satellite imagery and aerial photography. Uusers can view stars and astronomical images, as well as historiccal images. Real-time data can be compiled and include video, photos, podcasts, and other media.
Google Wave is an online tool for real-time communication and collaboration. A wave can be both a conversation and a document where people can discuss and work together using richly formatted text, photos, videos, maps, and more.
