Computer Science : Education Objectives and Outcomes
Computer Science Program Outcomes The Computer Science Program attempts to install the following program outcomes in its graduates:
CSCO1: Both depth and breadth in computer science.
CSCO2: A solid understanding of the software engineering process.
CSCO3: An ability to think creatively and critically.
CSCO4: A breadth-wise education (outside of computer science) with depth in at least one secondary area.
CSCO5: An ability to understand and solve abstract problems.
CSCO6: Effective team-based skills.
CSCO7: A knowledge of state-of-the-art technologies.
CSCO8: Exposure to entrepreneurship skills.
CSCO9: Effective written and oral communication skills.
CSCO10: An understanding of ethics, professionalism, and social issues.
CSCO11: An ability to design and analyze algorithms.
CSCO12: An ability to engage in life-long learning.
