Expected Outcomes
- Increase operating funds by providing $700,000 in available annual resources.
- Increase retention and recognition of outstanding faculty.
- Improve educational and research infrastructure.
- Advance availability and effective utilization of technology.
- Increase communication both internally and externally among COES and stakeholders.
Tasks
- Develop and implement method for regular communication among faculty and administration.
- Develop and implement method for regular communication between COES and external stakeholders.
- Development and implement method for regular communication about COES successes to influential non-stakeholders.
- Monitor and improve use of advanced technology in all COES operations.
- Review and improve productivity and performance policies (e.g., workload policy, T&P).
- Develop and implement regular recognition of faculty and students (e.g., Professorships, PhD Advisors, national awards, NAE and NAS membership).
- Recommend faculty and student memberships in COES teams and committees.
- Plan and provide regular professional development opportunities for COES faculty and staff.
- Recommend and apply criteria for allocating space within COES buildings.
- Monitor and improve facility and appearance of COES buildings (public areas, classrooms, conference rooms, laboratories, exteriors and signage)
