The Engineering and Technology Management degree program is a unique degree for Louisiana Tech that offers the potential for significant workforce development of employees while minimizing the disruption to the normal workday. We would be happy to work with area and regional companies and government agencies to provide more information about the program. In addition to Dr. Beth Hegab being the point of contact for the program, two people that have roles specifically to work with area and regional industries are:
Dr. Scott R. Forrest - Center Director of the Technology Transfer Center Shreveport
Dr. Forrest possesses a unique blend of operational
military and engineering research
experience. He has been associated
with the university since 1988 and earned both his Master of Science
and his PhD at Louisiana Tech. His research activities include the
development of micro and nano technologies with military, homeland
defense and aerospace applications. Dr. Forrest recently retired from
military service with over 30 years experience as a Marine Corps and
Air Force Reserve pilot. Dr. Forrest was appointed as the Center
Director on October 1, 2008.

Dr. Paul N. Hale, Jr. - Director of Industrial Relations College of Engineering and Scien
ce
Dr. Hale retired from Louisiana Tech with 38 years of experience. Dr. Hale was a Professor, Director of Industrial Engineering, Associate Dean for External Programs, and the previous Director of the Technology Transfer Center in Shreveport. Dr. Hale was the original spearhead behind creating the Engineering and Technology Management degree at Louisiana Tech University. Dr. Hale has many years of experience in working with area companies and helping them build partnerships with Louisiana Tech.
