FLEXIBLE MANUFACTURING RESEARCH LABORATORY
The Flexible Manufacturing Research Laboratory is comprised of a Computer-Integrated Manufacturing(CIM) system which includes a NC mill,NC lathe,three ER robots and an AS/RS system and a conveyor system controlled by conputers.The robots and the NC machines can be operated on a stand-alone basis.The lab has also three RIHNO robots controlled by a tech pendant,and a Vision based inspection system.
HUMAN FACTORS LABORATORY
This laboratory contains equipment to quantify the physical capabilities of people. Equipment is available to evaluate vision, hearing, reach, strength, reaction, eye/hand coordination and energy consumption. The lab houses the following major equipment::
- cardio fitness testing treadmill
- exercise bike

- vision contrast test systems
- portable audiometer
- hand dynamometer
- sound level detector
- light meter
- absolute discrimination test software
- manual/digital stop watches
- timing boards
- mirror tracers
- reaction time apparatus
- computerized time study kit
- work measurement video tapes
- TV/VCR system
INFORMATION SYSTEMS ENGINEERING LABORATORY
This lab contains:
- Four Pentium-2 , 350 Mhz computers.
- One Pentium-3 , 600 Mhz computers
