- Prof. William Campbell, [Associate Dean for Research & Graduate Studies, College of Applied & Natural Sciences (ANS)]
- Prof. Ramu Ramachandran, [Director of Graduate Studies, College of Engineering & Science (E&S)]
- Prof. David Mills (Director, School of Biological Sciences)
- Prof. Yuri Lvov (Chemistry & Physics) The Committee will report to the Deans of the Colleges and, through them, to the Dean of Graduate School
- The Steering Committee will meet at least once a quarter to screen applications, make assistantship decisions, and evaluate student appeals
- Assistantship funds will be provided by E&S and ANS; additional resources from research grants and fellowships.
