Scholastic Requirements Students in the College of Engineering are subject to the scholastic standards of the University regarding probation, suspension, and readmission. However, they are also expected to maintain the GPA of 2.2 required for admission to the College. Failure to do so may result in a diminished workload being recommended to the department head by the student's faculty adviser. Department heads may approve workload restrictions intended to restore the quality of the student's work to the standards required by the College of Engineering. Students on scholastic probation and those returning from a period of suspension are limited to a maximum of 9 semester hours per quarter.
