Civil Engineering Faculty Scholarship

  • Must be an incoming freshman, continuing freshman, sophomore, junior or senior civil engineering or construction engineering technology major in the top 50% of your graduating class.
  • Requires: for enrolled students GPA: 2.5, for incoming freshman: ACT 20
  • Additional requirements taken into consideration: Participation in extracurricular activities.
  • Approximately 0-1 award for $100-500 per academic year is available.
  • Student must remain full-time and maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a quarterly basis.
  • Application Deadline: March 31st
  • Award Decision is Made By: As funds are available
  • Applications are available in BH 217 during the last two weeks of winter quarter.

Civil Engineering Scholarship

Jack T. Painter Scholarship

  • Requires: GPA: 2.5
  • Approximately 0-2 awards for $500-1,000 per academic year are available.
  • Student must remain full-time and maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a quarterly basis.
  • Application Deadline: March 1st
  • Award Decision is Made By: As funds are available.
  • Applications are available in BH 217.

Jeneanne Krause Memorial Scholarship

  • Requires: GPA: 2.5
  • Additional requirements taken into consideration: Participation in extracurricular activities.
  • Approximately 0-2 awards for $100-1,000 per academic year are available.
  • Student must remain full-time and maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a quarterly basis.

McDermott Inc. Civil Engineering Scholarship

  • Requires: GPA: 3.0
  • Additional requirements taken into consideration: Participation in extracurricular activities.
  • Approximately 1-3 awards for $1,000 per academic year are available.
  • Student must remain full-time and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a quarterly basis.
  • Application Deadline: March 31

Oliver Woodrow Fisher Memorial Civil Engineering Scholarship

  • Requires: GPA: 2.5
  • Additional requirements taken into consideration: Participation in extracurricular activities.
  • Number of awards varies each year as funds are available. The award may be renewed until graduation.
  • Student must remain full time and maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5 on an annual basis.
  • Application Deadline: March 31

R. A. McFarland Memorial Civil Engineering Scholarship

Samuel McCain Young Trust Fund Scholarship

  • Must be a sophomore, junior or senior civil engineering major in the top 50% of your graduating class.
  • Requires: GPA: 3.0
  • Student must be from Metropolitan New Orleans area.
  • Additional requirements taken into consideration: Participation in extracurricular activities.
  • Approximately 0-2 awards for $500-800 per academic year are available.
  • Student must remain full-time and maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a quarterly basis.
  • Application Deadline: Mid January
  • Award Decision is Made By: April 1
  • Applications are available in BH 217 during the last two weeks of winter quarter.

Folk Civil Engineering Scholarship

  • Must be a continuing freshman, sophomore, junior or senior civil engineering or construction engineering technology major.
  • Requires: GPA: 2.5
  • Selection based on merit as to probable successful completion of a Civil Engineering and/or Construction Engineering Technology degree, meritorious service to the Civil Engineering and/or Construction Engineering program and/or financial need.
  • Approximately 0-2 awards for $500-1,000 per academic year are available.
  • Student must remain a full-time Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering Technology major and maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5 on an annual basis; may be renewed until graduation. If student does not meet requirements and loses scholarship, reinstatement is not possible.

Edward C. Darling Memorial Scholarship

  • Must be a continuing freshman, sophomore, junior or senior civil engineering major.
  • Requires: GPA: 3.0
  • Number of awards varies as funds are available.
  • Student must remain a full-time civil engineering major and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0. If student does not meet requirements and loses scholarship, reinstatement is not possible.
  • Application Deadline: March 1
  • Award Decision is Made By: mid April
  • Applications are available in BH 217 during the last two weeks of winter quarter.

Jack A. Terrill Memorial Scholarship

  • Must be a junior civil engineering major and a Louisiana resident.
  • Requires: GPA: 2.85
  • Number of awards varies as funds are available.
  • Student must remain full-time and maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.85 on a quarterly basis. If student does not meet requirements and loses scholarship, reinstatement is not possible.
  • Application Deadline: March
  • Award Decision is Made By: May
  • Applications are available in BH 217 during the last two weeks of winter quarter.
