Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program Curriculum
The Clinical Mental Health Counseling program consists of a total of 60 credit-hours: 51 credit-hours of academic coursework, three credit-hours of counseling practicum work totaling 100 clock-hours, and six credit-hours of internship totalling 600 clock-hours to be completed in at least two academic terms.

At the conclusion of all academic coursework, students must successfully complete a comprehensive examination. Students will not be allowed to begin practicum or internship work unless they have successfully completed all academic coursework and achieved a satisfactory score on their comprehensive examination.

Open only by application. Requires 100 clinical hours. Supervised progessional activity in a mental health setting. |

| COUN 535 | Advanced Internship
Advanced supervised experience in a school or mental helath setting. Requires 300 clinical hours for each internship. This course must be taken twice (normally in back-to-back terms) to complete the total clinical requirements. |
