TOPS New Student Awards

  • TOPS is placed on the award letter in anticipation of an actual award.

To determine your award eligibility, contact the TOPS office at Louisiana Office of Student Financial Assistance (LOSFA), 1-800-259-5626, ext 1012.  TOPS will confirm your award level if all eligibility requirements are met.  If the award is still pending, they will discuss with you what is needed for completion.  Once eligibility has been met and the award level established, you will receive confirmation by mail from LOSFA.

Graduates of 2007 - You MUST have an application receipt date no later than July 1, 2007, to receive your TOPS award beginning with the upcoming college academic year, 2007-2008. According to LOSFA, initial applications received after July 1, 2007 will not be funded until the subsequent college academic year, 2008-2009.

TOPS Opportunity, TOPS Performance and TOPS Honors  are awarded for use at Louisiana Tech University or other Louisiana postsecondary colleges or universities.  TOPS-TECH awards are for use at a Louisiana public community or technical college, and cannot be used at Louisiana Tech University.
