TOPS Renewal Student Awards

  • TOPS is placed on the award letter in anticipation of the actual award.

To continue receiving the TOPS Opportunity, Performance or Honors Award, you must submit a renewal FAFSA each year, earn a total of at least 24 credit hours at the end of the academic year (Fall, Winter, & Spring quarters), and maintain the required GPA for your award level.  To confirm your renewal status, check your record on the TOPS website.  Go to www.osfa.state.la.us click on TOPS Portal, select STUDENTS, and enter your information.  The website is updated weekly.

If your award is suspended due to GPA, you will be notified by TOPS when the suspension is lifted and the award is renewed.  If your required GPA is reached at the end of summer, you should be prepared to initially pay for the Fall quarter.  Once Louisiana Tech University is notified by TOPS of your renewal status, you will be paid for the eligible quarter.
