Leveraging Educational Assistance Partnership Grant (LEAP)
and Supplemental LEAP (SLEAP)

LEAP awards provide need-based grants to academically qualified students. Applicants must be a Louisiana resident for at least one year prior to July 1st of the award year. Students are awarded LEAP funds after they are received from the State of Louisiana. The approximate amount awarded is $300 per quarter and is only awarded for Fall, Winter, and Spring quarters. LEAP awards are based on GPA, EFC, and unmet need remaining at the time of review. Students must have a cumulative 2.0 GPA or a 20 ACT for first time freshmen. A student may not receive LEAP, FSEOG, or the Louisiana GO Grant during the same quarter.

A student must be enrolled full-time and have a 2.0 cumulative GPA on the 9th class day to retain LEAP funds that have been disbursed for the quarter.
