Once you've accepted a Federal Stafford loan, you must complete loan entrance counseling and learn about the terms and conditions of your loans. 

Louisiana Tech University students who are borrowing for the 2011-2012 academic year will need to complete an Stafford Loan Entrance Counseling if this includes:

• New students who have never participated in a federal loan program
• Transfer students who have participated in a federal loan program at another school

The Entrance Counseling must be completed before the loan will be sent to the Department of Education for processing.
