The International Student Office is available to assist international students. Students may contact this office for further information and to arrange to speak with a current student from the new student's home country. Other functions of the office are orientation, immigration advising, community relations, personal counseling and social/cultural programming. The International Student Association, a student organization, sponsors various social and educational programs throughout the year, including International Days, an annual campus event held each spring.

The International Student Office conducts a required orientation program held on the day before registration for the quarter. This program helps students become acquainted with the university and the town of Ruston. In addition, important immigration information is presented.
