Dr. Glenn Beer, Ed.D., SciTec Director

Mr. Beer serves as director of the SciTEC program at Louisiana Tech University and coordinates all programs to accomplish the overarching goals of the SciTEC program.

Misty Byrd, SciTec Office Manager

Ms. Byrd is responsible for office and accounts management for SciTEC. Primarily, it is her job to oversee all administrative functions of the SciTEC program.

Christopher Coleman, Information Technology Coordinator

Mr. Coleman serves as the Information Technology Coordinator for the College of Education. As such, he assists the SciTEC program and The IDEA Place by providing IT support ranging from minor computer issues to the coordination and administration of major data storage systems. He is also responsible for all of our websites. Currently, he is planning to begin work on his M.B.A. in Information Systems in Fall 2009.

Lindsey Keith-Vincent, M.S., IDEA Place Museum Educator

Ms. Vincent is the resident museum educator at the IDEA Place. As such, she is responsible for the design, promotion, and coordination of programs offered by the IDEA Place. Additionally, she provides support and collaboration for other SciTEC initiatives through the IDEA Place. She has recently completed her M.S., and is a former instructor at Ruston High School.

Diane Madden, M.S., Science Education Specialist

Ms. Madden is the science educator for the IDEA Place and SciTEC. As adjunt faculty for the College of Education she has developed and presented graduate level courses in science instruction and serves as a clinical faculty member.

Tammy Nugent, SciTEC Administrative Assistant

Ms. Nugent is our most recent addtion to the SciTEC family. She serves as the SciTEC Administrative Assistant, and is responsible for managing resource allocation thoughout the IDEA Place, Planetarium, and for the GEAR UP camps.

Dr. Carolyn Talton, Ed.D., STEM Education Specialist

Dr. Talton serves as our STEM education specialist. As a Louisiana Tech University Professor Emeritus from the College of Education, her knowledge and experience is critical in the design and testing of classroom instruction materials.
