Buddy Davis (1969) is executive sports editor at The Ruston Daily Leader. He was named as one of two recipients of the 2009 Distinguished Service Award in Journalism presented annually by the Louisiana Sports Writers Association in conjunction with its Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame ceremonies. Davis has served as the sports editor of the Daily Leader since 1970 and has received numerous awards at the national, state and regional level for his sportswriting and sports photography. A former assistant in the Tech sports media relations department, Davis wrote the first national story on former Bulldogs' All-American quarterback and NFL No. 1 draftee Terry Bradshaw and has covered the careers of other such athletes as Karl Malone, Doug Williams, Bert Jones, P.J. Brown, William Roaf and many others who starred for state college and high school programs before moving on to the professional ranks. Davis has covered the Lady Techsters' basketball program since its beginning in 1974. He has covered 11 Super Bowls, three Summer Olympic Games, induction ceremonies for the Naismith Memorial and Pro Football Hall of Fame, a World Series, two NCAA outdoor track and field championships, an NBA All-Star Game, six women's Final Fours and a BCS national championship game. Davis most recently received two first place awards and finished runner-up as Columnist of the Year for Class II in the 2010 Louisiana Sports Writers Association writing contest. In April 2013, Buddy won first and second places in spot sports, first and third place in sports enterprise/feature and first place in sports columns at the Associated Press Managing Editors 2013 Competition. Anna Holton Dean (2004) freelances for TulsaPets magazine. She graduated with her master's degree in mass communications from Grambling State University in May 2007 and married Jeremy Dean in June 2007. They had their first child, Jack, on July 23, 2009. He weighed 7 lbs., 8 oz., and was 20.5 inches long. They live in San Antonio, Texas. (08.10.12)

John Denison (1978) received the Louisiana Association of Broadcasters' Lifetime Achievement Award in 2010 and Top Television News Anchor in Northeast Louisiana award by Delta Style in 2011. He served as managing editor and main anchor of the 6 and 10 p.m. newscasts at KNOE-TV, Channel 8, in Monroe, La., until February 2012. He lives in Monroe. (03.02.12)
Beverly Ambrico Denver (1969) went from Tech to LSU's graduate program in journalism, where she was a teaching assistant, in 1969-70. For 17 years she was a self-employed newspaper publisher who started, managed and sold two community newspapers, the North Houston Journal and West University Journal. Currently editor and publisher of Houston Woman Magazine, Denver was named Houston's Print Journalist of the Year in 2000 by the Houston Press Club. She has received numerous other professional and community service awards. She lives in Bellaire, Texas. (3/21/05)
Leisha Bounds DeRiso (1998) recently had a daughter, Ella Grace, born June 30, 2007, at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe, La. Leisha is a Realtor with Coldwell Banker in Ruston, La. and also is an ELS teacher at Tech. She and her husband, Nick, also have a son, Jack. They live in Choudrant. (8/27/07)

After a 30-year career in media and corporate public relations, Chuck Dickey (1972) began a new career as a real estate appraiser for the Louisiana Tax Commission in 2004. He is currently President of Timberlane Country Club and a board member of the New Orleans Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America, which honored him with their plate spinner award in 2003. Dickey won Silver Anvil awards for his public relations campaigns for Cirque du Soleil and Tenet Healthcare. He and his wife Nadine live in the Algiers section of New Orleans. (10/1/04)

Carol Howk Green (1965) is vice president of human resources and labor relations of the Denver Newspaper Agency. She also is a member of The Denver Post's Executive Committee and the Larger Cities Newspaper Labor Group, an organization comprising top labor professionals at the 20 largest newspapers in the United States. She received her juris doctor degree from the University of Denver College of Law and earned a master's degree in law from Yale University through a Ford Foundation program for journalists.
Jay Grelen (1979) started writing a column three days a week for the metro page of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette in August 2004. He started at the newspaper the year before an assistant city editor. He and his wife of 30 years live in Maumelle, Ark. Their 20-year-old daughter studies violin at Cedarville University, a small Baptist school in Ohio. Their 16-year-old also plays the violin.
