Cori Roberts Anderson (2001) and her husband, Eric, a Tech alumnus, live in Shreveport, La. The couple had a son, Abram Elias, born Aug. 28, 2007, at 7:36 a.m. at Willis-Knighton Pierremont in Shreveport. He was 7 lbs., 15 oz., and 20.5 inches long. Thomas Aswell (1970) is an adjuster for the State of Louisiana. His book, "Louisiana Rocks!The True Genesis of Rock & Roll" will be published in fall 2009. For more than 25 years, he served as a reporter and editor for multiple Louisiana newspapers including The Baton Rouge Advocate, Ruston Daily Leader and Monroe News-Star. He also owned his own news service for eight years. After his discharge from the United States Air Force, he owned and coached a semi-pro baseball team, worked for a telephone company, taught defensive driving classes and has worked for the State of Louisiana, Office of Risk Management. He also worked as a stand-up comedian for the Funny Bone Comedy Club in Baton Rouge and was named the funniest person in Louisiana in 1992. He lives with his wife, Betty, in Denham Springs, La. Master Sgt. David Bamburg (1991) is retired from the U.S. Air Force after more than 20 years' service. He was honored with a retirement ceremony Aug. 31, 2006. Bamburg lives in Denver, Colo., with his wife, Maureen, and children, Patrick and Ashley. (9/1/06)

Erin Bass (2007) is a risk analyst at IMA in Bossier City, La. She is pursuing a master's degree in education/ancillary counseling at Louisiana State University-Shreveport and is engaged to Jeremy Kilpatrick. (12.17.10)

Shermakaye Bass (1985) is a freelance reporter for magazines and newspapers around the country. She is a former arts writer and columnist for The Dallas Morning News, and her work has appeared in People magazine, National Geographic Traveler, The New York Times, Los Angeles Times and Washington Post. Wayne Batts (1971) teaches in the New Caney Independent School District and lives in Kingwood, Texas. He moved there after retiring from a career as teacher, coach, principal and supervisor in Louisiana.

Cathie Beck (1990) is a full-time freelance writer/editor and journalism/creative writing professor (currently on hiatus after 10 years teaching at The University of Colorado at Boulder, Metropolitan State College of Denver, and Front Range Community College). Her features have appeared in The Los Angeles Times, Vegetarian Times, Writers Digest, The Denver Post and The Rocky Mountain News, among other publications. She also writes a twice-weekly entertainment column in The Denver Daily News. Beck has published a number of short stories, and she is writing a memoir that she hopes to have published in 2004. Steven Black (1994) is store manager of the newest location of Beehive Wholesale Factory Store in Sevierville, Tenn. (near Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg).  The store is a 20,000 sq. foot mix of jewelry, purses and home decor. Beehive Wholesale Factory Store is one of two stores that make up the retail division of Beehive Jewelry, which is based in Ruston, La.  Beehive Jewelry was started by Tech graduates and is one of the fastest growing jewelry companies in the United States.  (4/25/05)

Mary Culver Willis Blood (1987) is owner, publisher and editor of Pine Country Publishers and a grandmother of two boys and three girls. She was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer in October 2002 and is undergoing chemotherapy treatments. She lives in Jonesboro, La. (7/28/03)

T. Scott Boatright (1987) is a reporter with The Ruston Daily Leader. He earned his master's degree in human relations from Tech in 1991. (07.11.08)

Louis Bonnette (1963) is sports information director and senior associate athletic director at McNeese State University. Bonnette was inducted into the Southland Conference Hall of Honor on May 31, 2007, at a ceremony in Galveston, Texas and will be inducted into the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Hall of Fame June 25, 2009. He was named to McNeese's athletic Hall of Fame in September 2002. He has also been honored with two awards from the Louisiana Sports Writers Association: the Distinguished Service Award for Journalism and the Mac Russo Award. He lives in Lake Charles, La. In the 2006 Louisiana Sports Writers Association writing contest, Bonnette received second place for best release and honorable mention in the Fact Sheet category for Division 1. (06.19.09)

Ayres Bradford Sr. (1973) is director of business development for Lincoln Builders Inc. in Ruston, La., and has been appointed to the Louisiana Gaming Control Board. (08.01.08)

Lindsey Bradford (1999) lives in Baton Rouge, La., where she works in the Governor’s Office as the Program Manager for the Nonpublic School Early Childhood Development Program. She is the proud mom of Avery Grace Bradford born June 16, 2006. (05.09.08)

Randall Bradford (1987) is battalion commander and administrative officer for the 773rd Military Police Battalion, Camp Beauregard, Pineville, La. Cecilia Walker Bragg (1987) is a happy work-at-home new mom. Son Benton was born Sept. 18, 2002. Cecilia is married to Duane Bragg, and she says life is grand! In addition to her responsibilities as a mother, she is the self-employed operator of Baby's Away baby equipment rentals and a videotape transcriber. She and her family live in Nashville, Tenn. Curt Brandao (1990) is production editor, in charge of the night news desk, at the Honolulu Star-Bulletin. He also writes a weekly humor column, "Digital Slob" in the Sunday business section. The column is distributed by Universal Press Syndicate, the world's largest independent newspaper syndicate to newspapers including The Times in Shreveport, La. He and his wife, Olga, were married in October 2003 on a beach in Hawaii. They live in Honolulu. (8/17/04)

Gerard Braud (1980) released his first book, "Don't Talk to the Media: 29 Secrets You Need to Know Before You Open Your Mouth to a Reporter," which is geared toward PR professionals and executives who have to act as spokespeople. He operates Braud Communications, a company specializing in professional speaking for conferences, media training for spokespeople, crisis management for corporations and video production. Paul C. "Cliff" Burnett (1942) died Feb. 18, 2005, in Opelika, Ala. He was a journalism professor emeritus at Auburn University. Prior to his teaching there, he worked at several newspapers and was a decorated B-17 navigator in the Army Air Corps in World War II. (3/2/05)

Tom Burnett (1988) is commissioner of the Southland Conference in the north Dallas suburb of Frisco, Texas. The Southland Conference consists of 12 member universities in Texas, Louisiana and Arkansas. Burnett and his wife, Tracy, live in McKinney, Texas, with their two children, Cole Thomas and Jesse Caroline.(05.01.09)

Mabel Becnel Castleberry (2002) has accepted a job with Baton Rouge Parents Magazine. Mabel and Trey Castleberry were married Nov. 16, 2002. They have a son, Parker James, born Dec. 7, 2006, and just had a daughter, Paige Olivia, who was born on Sept 25, 2009, at 10:26 am. She was 7 pounds, 6 ounces and 20 inches long. Denise Coolman (1989) is a project coordinator and writer/editor for the LSU AgCenter. She is working with the director of the LSU AgCenter’s Road Home hurricane recovery project by assisting in creating and maintaining a project coordination system, as well as coordinating hurricane reconstruction-related efforts of field faculty and faculty in AgCenter campus departments. The Road Home program is designed to help residents of Louisiana affected by Hurricanes Katrina or Rita get back into their homes as quickly as possible. Wesley II, an IT expert with an environmental engineering firm in Baton Rouge; Emily, a teacher in Chicago; Lydia, a hair-stylist for Sport Clips in Baton Rouge; and S.
