A prominent name in athletics, Grambling State combines all the strengths of a major university with the personality of a small college. With a student body of nearly 6,000, more than 800 courses and 68 degree programs are offered at Grambling.

Louisiana Tech University is a midsized, selective-admissions, public university nestled in the Piney Woods area of North Louisiana in Ruston, the seat of government for Lincoln Parish.
