The Liberal Arts Scholarship
Students who meet the following requirements are eligible for consideration for a Liberal Arts Scholarship:
Students must major in one of the disciplines within the College of Liberal Arts. The student must remain in the College of Liberal Arts while receiving the scholarship. Transferring to another discipline outside of Liberal Arts will automatically cancel the scholarship.
Students must have a high school or college GPA of 3.00 or better. Students must maintain this average while on a Liberal Arts Scholarship.
Students must submit an official grade transcript, high school or college.
Student must complete an application form, available from the Office of the Associate Dean of the College of Liberal Arts, in GTM 104.
Students must submit a letter of 1-2 pages, from the student (if self-supporting) or from the parent(s) of guardian(s) (if a dependent), that substantiates the student's need for this scholarship. Applicants must also attach the appropriate and most recent tax return.
Students must a letter of recommendation from a faculty member who has taught the student within the last year or, if an entering freshman, a letter from high school teacher who taught the student in the studen'ts senior year.
Deadline: During the month of May; check with GTM 104 for the specific day of the month.
