Catalog of U.S. Government Publications (Government Printing Office)
The GPO catalog contains records of U.S. publications from July 1976-Present. As a Regional Depository, Louisiana Tech should have these publications in the library and most can be checked out. Additional sources such as the Congressional Serial Set, and internet only publications can be found by choosing the "Advanced Search" option.

Provides several methods of searching government web sites and databases. This site is managed by the National Technical Information Service (NTIS) and provides access to technical reports, regulatory publications, and economic and trade information.

Google U. S. Gov
Popular search engine for searching across U.S. government information, and for keeping up to date on government news by searching for content located on either U.S. federal, state and local government websites or the entire Web.

Online reference service with a Government Documents Librarian.

GPO Access (Government Priniting Office)
Provides access to government information through full-text storage of critical federal documents, such as the Code of Federal Regulations, the Congressional Record, etc.

Available grants from all Federal grant-making agencies. Keyword searching and online applications make this an easy to use website.

National Technical Information Service (NTIS)
NTIS, a division, of the U.S. Department of Commerce, handles scientific, technical engineering, and some business information. Some reports are free.

Patent and Trademark Office (U.S.)
Database of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office searchable only by patent number and current U.S. classification from 1790 to 1975.

Federal site to find, review, and submit comments on Federal documents that are open for comment and published in the Federal Register.

State and County Quick Facts
Quick Facts tables are summary profiles showing frequently requested data items from various Census Bureau programs. Profiles are available at the national, state, and county level.

STINET
The Scientific and Technical Information Network is one of the Department of Defense's largest source of scientific, research, and engineering information. Public STINET provides free access to unclassified full-text documents which can be downloaded. Full-text generally begins in 1996. STINET Multisearch accesses military periodicals and other government databases.
