ELEN-EO-03. Professionalism. To produce graduates who have strong communication skills, who understand and undertake professional ethical responsibilities, and who function effectively as members and leaders of multi-disciplinary teams. ELEN-EO-04. Lifelong Learning. To produce graduates who believe that their undergraduate electrical engineering education was a wise investment and who continue to develop their knowledge and skills after graduation.
The Electrical Engineering Program attempts to instill the following educational outcomes in its graduates: ELEN-PO-02. An ability to design and conduct scientific and engineering experiments, as well as to analyze and interpret data. ELEN-PO-05. An ability to identify, formulate, and solve electrical engineering problems. ELEN-PO-06. An understanding of professional and ethical responsibility. ELEN-PO-07. An ability to communicate by conveying technical material through both the formal written medium and through oral presentation with audience interaction. ELEN-PO-09. A recognition of the need for, and an ability to engage in life-long learning. ELEN-PO-10. An ability to use the techniques, skills and modern engineering tools, including computer-based tools, necessary for engineering practice.
