The Northern Louisiana Trumpet Ensemble was formed in 2007 to provide an opportunity for adult, college, and high school trumpet players to perform music written for 6 or more trumpets.

The ensemble rehearses once a month during the school year typically on a Tuesday night. The group has performed on the Louisiana Tech campus and at Trinity UMC. Most recently, on December 7, 2010, they presented a performance of holiday music at the new Lincoln Parish Library Events Center located in Ruston.
