Welcome to the Louisiana Tech University Planetarium
Since the Louisiana Tech University Planetarium was built in 1967, there have been several remodeling phases that have updated the facility to a state-of-the-art center. Comfortably seating 120 people, the climate controlled Planetarium has a dome of 40 feet in diameter. A Spitz A-4 instrument projects the Milky Way Glaaxy, including the sun, moon, planets, and approximately 3,000 visible stars thus giving a correct and realistic simulation of the celestial sphere.
The Planetarium main theatre is handicapped accessible and has spaces for several wheelchairs.
We look forward to your scheduling a visit to the Louisiana Tech University Planetarium.
