DIRECTIONS
How to find the Planetarium if coming from the:
- North, East, and West (towns such as El Dorado, Bernice, Dubach, Monroe, West Monroe, Delhi, Rayville, Choudrant, Shreveport, Bossier City, Minden, Grambling, Simsboro)
- South (towns such as Alexandria, Winnfield, Jonesboro, Quitman)
PARKING
This parking map (http://www.latech.edu/planetarium/findparking.htm) provides information for bus unloading and parking. Because you are a visitor, you do not need a parking tag. If you get a ticket, send it in to the address on the back of the ticket with the explanation that you were a visitor to LA Tech.
IMPORTANT NOTES
- Exit 84 on I-20 is the LA Tech University exit. This street is named "Cooktown Road" UNTIL your reach LA Tech when it then becomes "Tech Drive."
- From Shreveport to Ruston on I-20, the school bus drive is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.
- From Monroe to Ruston on I-20, the school bus drive is approximately 45 minutes.
NOTE: The planetarium has no restrooms. There are several buildings that are open during the week that are in walking distance that do have restrooms .
The Planetarium main theatre is handicapped accessible and has spaces for several wheelchairs.
