From The
North, East & West




From the North:
(Traveling southbound using US Hwy 167) - After entering the city limits, continue traveling south. When you reach a split, move to the right lane. After the split you will see Junction (JCT. I-20) signs for the interstate. Take a right onto I-20 traveling westbound. Remain in the "on ramp" lane. Take the first exit, (Exit 84) for Louisiana Tech University. After exiting, turn left onto Cooktown Road (Tech Drive). Remain on Tech Drive for approximately one mile until you reach the second traffic light. Turn left onto Railroad Avenue, then take the first right onto Mayfield Avenue. Pass the large parking lot and Education building. The Planetarium will then be on your left, beside a small parking lot. The Planetarium is on the back side of A.E. Phillips Elementary.

From the East:
(Traveling westbound I-20) - When entering the Ruston city limits you will see the Farmerville Hwy exit (Exit 86), then the US 167 exit (Exit 85), and then the Louisiana Tech University exit (Exit 84). Take this Exit 84. Once you have exited, turn left onto Cooktown Road (Tech Drive). Remain on Tech Drive for approximately one mile until you reach the second traffic light. Turn left onto Railroad Avenue, then take the first right onto Mayfield Avenue. Pass the large parking lot and Education building. The Planetarium will then be on your left, beside a small parking lot. The Planetarium is on the back side of A.E. Phillips Elementary.

From the West:
(Traveling eastbound on I-20) - When entering Ruston from the west, take the first Ruston exit - the Louisiana Tech University exit (Exit 84). Turn right onto Tech Drive, going south. Remain on Tech Drive for approximately one mile until you reach the second traffic light. Turn left onto Railroad Avenue, then take the first right onto Mayfield Avenue. Pass the large parking lot and Education building. The Planetarium will then be on your left, beside a small parking lot. The Planetarium is on the back side of A.E. Phillips Elementary.



NOTE: The planetarium has no restrooms. There are several buildings that are open during the week that are in walking distance that do have restrooms .
