for the
Louisiana Tech University Planetarium

The guidelines/rules at the Louisiana Tech University Planetarium are designed to serve three purposes:
First, to protect you and provide everyone with the best possible show.
Second, to protect the equipment, carpeting, and seats so that everyone may experience a clean environment for viewing the show.
Third, to reduce noise so that students in A.E. Phillips Elementary School will not be disturbed (if the show is scheduled during normal school hours).

  1. **Remain seated at all times during the show, due to possible falls.
  2. **Remain quiet during the show.
  3. Smoking is not allowed.
  4. Gum, food, and drinks are not allowed.
  5. Flashlights or other mini-luminous toys should not be used during the show.
  6. The star machine and control panel should not be touched. This machinery is expensive and delicate.
  7. Scheduled shows will begin at the appointed time. Please be prompt in your arrival. Your being late could prevent another group from starting on time and delay other activities on campus.
**These are the only two rules reviewed in the Planetarium with the students before the show beings.

IF YOU MUST CANCEL: Please call at least 24 hours ahead of time.

NOTE: The planetarium has no restrooms. There are several buildings that are open during the week that are in walking distance that do have restrooms .

The Planetarium main theatre is handicapped accessible and has spaces for several wheelchairs.

We look forward to your scheduling a visit to the Louisiana Tech University Planetarium.
