HOW A TYPICAL SHOW IS RUN
at the
Louisiana Tech University Planetarium
  • Groups schedule a "restroom break" before entering the Planetarium.The planetarium has no restrooms. There are several buildings that are open during the week that are in walking distance that do have restrooms .
  • The group sponsor signs-in and submits payment while the group goes to the restroom.
  • Planetarium workers greet students and discuss a few rules.
  • Interactive slide show is shown.
  • A few important constellations are viewed.
  • The "Space Ship Ride!" is shown.
  • The lights are brought up slowly.
  • A "Question & Answer" session occurs (if time permits).
  • Everyone checks to make sure nothing is left behind.
  • Please watch your step while leaving.

The Planetarium main theatre is handicapped accessible and has spaces for several wheelchairs.
