LAST DAY TO DROP A COURSE OR RESIGN WITH A "W" GRADE
SPRING QUARTER 2008
The last day to drop a course or resign from the University with "W" grades is Friday, April 25, 2008. You'll need a DROP/ADD form, signed by your advisor, and then processed through the Registrar's Office. Instructions and the forms are available online at URL http://www.latech.edu/registrar/dropping-course.shtml or you can pick one up in the Office of the University Registrar (Keeny Hall 207) where you will process the completed form.
Students receiving any Financial Aid should carefully consider the impact that dropping courses has on their satisfactory academic progress. If you have questions about this, contact the Office of Student Financial Aid (Keeny Hall 240)
HAVE YOU CONSIDERED TAKING COURSES @ TECH DURING THE SUMMER ?
Check it out! Spring and Summer "Racing Forms" (Schedule of Classes for those new to TECH) are available online in .pdf format. Go to URL http://www.latech.edu/registrar/racingform.shtml . Remember, the MOST DETAILED and ACCURATE scheduling tool is the BOSS menu option "Available Course Sections". It has the up-to-the-second changes as they are loaded in the database. Whereas the .pdf files and the printed versions are "dated" the moment they go to print.
ARE YOU PLANNING TO GRADUATE SPRING QUARTER 2008?
There are two important deadlines that you need to be aware of:
1. Thursday, March 20, 2008: deadline to apply for graduation in the University Registrar's Office (Keeny Hall 207). If you already applied for graduation, your degree audit is underway - just order your cap and gown at the bookstore. If you haven't applied for graduation yet, do so immediately. If you miss this deadline, you will have to obtain approval from your Academic Dean to complete late registration for graduation. 2. Friday, April 11, 2008: deadline to order your cap and gown in the University Bookstore.
ENROLLMENT VERIFICATION
There are several methods available to obtain enrollment verification for insurance, employment, or scholarship/loan purposes. You will find instructions and a form at URL http://www.latech.edu/registrar/enrollment-verification.shtml. Walk-in or FAX requests can be handled as early as the 4th day of class. Self-service online verifications through our partnership with the National Student Clearinghouse are available beginning on or about the 14th day of class.
IS YOUR CONTACT INFORMATION CORRECT?
When was the last time you looked at the address and phone number information on your BOSS account to see if they were current and accurate? It is your responsibility to ensure the contact information on file with the University is correct and up-to-date. This includes your information and your next-of-kin emergency contact information (addresses, phone numbers, and e-mail addresses). Update your information today!
