Payment Deadlines & Purge Dates for Winter Quarter 2010
Last Day to Drop/Resign with "W" grades
WINTER QUARTER 2010: The last day to drop a course with a "W" grade or resign from the University (drop all courses) with "W" grades for WINTER Quarter 2010 is Friday, February 5, 2010 at 5:00 p.m.
Critical Registration Dates for Winter Quarter 2010
NOTE 1: New Freshmen and Transfer Students (undergraduates) admitted for Winter 2010, are encouraged to attend a Winter Mini-Orientation session on Monday, November 30, 2009, at 4:00 p.m., followed by General Registration/Tuition & Fee Payment on Tuesday, December 1, 2009. Graduate students should see their advisor to complete the initiate the registration and tuition/fee payment process. New students will then: see an advisor and have their Registration Access Code updated; obtain their BOSS PIN number (Keeny Hall 207) and complete their initial registration in the BOSS Self-Help Registration Center (Keeny Hall 207); complete tuition/fee payment at the Cashiers window (Keeny Hall 103); and obtain their TECH ID through the TECH Express Office, activate their TECH e-mail account (at the Computing Center, Basement Wyly Tower).
NOTE 2: All returning TECH students who have been out of class more than one quarter must be readmitted and advised before they will be able to use BOSS Web Registration (advisors must update Registration Access Codes). They will also need new TECH ID cards.
BOSS Hours:
Monday - Friday: 7:45 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.; 12:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.; and 9:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
Weekends: 9:00 p.m. Friday until 7:00 a.m. Monday

BOSS Web Registration (menu option "Drop and Add Classes") remains "live" for eligible students through the end of the Late Registration ("no-grade" Drop/Add) period each quarter. After Drop/Add is deactivated, all Drop "W" actions must take place by submitting a Drop/Add Form, signed by the student's advisor, to the University Registrar's Office for processing. Students attempting to drop all of their classes (resign) during this period must do so through the University Registrar's Office.
Winter Quarter 2010:
BOSS Web Registration (menu option "Drop and Add Classes") will be turned off at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, December 4, 2009 (last day of Late Registration, Drop/Add, for Winter Quarter 2010). All drop/add activity after that day will require processing through the Registrar's Office (Keeny Hall 207) using signed Drop/Add Forms.
Credit Balance Refund Checks
Winter Quarter 2010: Electronically deposited refunds* will be available on Friday, December 11. Manual refund checks will be available on Monday, December 14 in the Cashiers Office, 103 Keeny Hall, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
*Sign up for electronic deposit of your refund thru your BOSS account (menu option "Electronic Deposit of Refunds/Student Payroll").
