Last Day to Drop/Resign with "W" Grades
Spring Quarter 2012: The last day to drop a course with a "W" grade or resign from the University (drop all courses) with "W" grades for Spring Quarter 2012 is Friday, April 27, 2012 at 4:45 p.m.
Summer Quarter 2012: Use URL www.latech.edu/registrar/racingform to view the online Schedule of Classes, General Information, for a table of the drop "W" dates for the Summer Quarter 2012.
Fall Quarter 2012: The last day to drop a course with a "W" grade or resign from the University (drop all courses) with "W" grades for Fall Quarter 2012 is Friday, October 26, 2012 at 4:45 p.m.
Critical Registration Dates for Summer & Fall Quarters 2012
NOTE 1: ONLY continuing Louisiana Tech University students (those enrolled for Spring Quarter 2012) are eligible to participate in Early Registration (April 30 - May 18, 2012) for Summer and Fall. This excludes Visiting and Transient admission categories as well as newly admitted/readmitted students.
NOTE 2: New Freshmen, New Transfer Students, and New Graduate Students, admitted for admitted for Summer 2012, with a signed advising form, and an updated Registration Access Code (by the advisor) may register May 22 - 30, 2012. New students will: see/contact an advisor and have their Registration Access Code updated; obtain their BOSS PIN number (Keeny Hall 207) and complete their initial registration online (Student BOSS) or in the BOSS Self-Help Registration Center (Keeny Hall 207); complete tuition/fee payment online (Student BOSS) or at the Cashiers window (Keeny Hall 103); and obtain their TECH ID through the TECH Express Office, activate their TECH e-mail account (at the Computing Center, Basement Wyly Tower).
IMPORTANT: There are five separate and distinct sessions of classes during the Summer Quarter, with up to three sessions overlapping at any one time. Students must read their schedules carefully to ensure they start classes on the correct day, date, and time. NOTE 3: New Freshmen admitted for Fall 2012 will register during one of the New Freshmen Orientation sessions scheduled for the Summer. New Freshmen should contact Undergraduate Admissions (1-800-LATECH1) as soon as possible after being admitted to sign up for a Freshmen Orientation and Registration session. New Transfer Students admitted for Fall 2012 will register during one of the Transfer Orientation sessions scheduled for the Summer. New Transfer Students should also contact Undergraduate Admissions (1-800-LATECH1) as soon as possible after being admitted to schedule a Transfer Orientation and Registration session.
NOTE 4: For those New Freshmen and Transfer Students (undergraduates) admitted for Fall 2012, and who did not attend an Orientation and Registration session during the Summer - a Fall Mini-Orientation session will be conducted prior to General Registration/Tuition & Fee Payment on Tuesday, September 4, 2012. Contact Undergraduate Admissions (1-800-LATECH1) for more information.
NOTE 5: Graduate students should contact their advisor to initiate and complete the advising (Plan of Study development) process (to include updating their Registration Access Code). New students will then: obtain their BOSS PIN number (Keeny Hall 207) and complete their initial registration in the BOSS Self-Help Registration Center (Keeny Hall 207); complete tuition/fee payment at the Cashiers window (Keeny Hall 103); and obtain their TECH ID through the TECH Express Office, activate their TECH e-mail account (at the Computing Center, Basement Wyly Tower).
NOTE 6: All returning TECH students who have been out of class more than one quarter (excluding the Summer Quarter) must be readmitted and advised before they will be able to use BOSS Web Registration (advisors must update Registration Access Codes). They will also need to update their TECH ID cards.

BOSS Hours/Registration Information
Monday-Friday: 7:45 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.; 12:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.; and 8:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
Weekends: 8:00 p.m. Friday until 7:00 a.m. Monday
BOSS Web Registration BOSS Web Registration (menu option "Drop and Add Classes") remains "live" for eligible students through the end of the Late Registration ("no-grade" Drop/Add) period each quarter. After Drop/Add is deactivated, all Drop "W" actions must take place by submitting a Drop/Add Form, signed by the student's advisor, to the University Registrar's Office for processing. Students attempting to drop all of their classes (resign) during this period must do so through the University Registrar's Office.
Registration Ends:
For Summer Quarter 2012, BOSS Web Registration (menu option "Drop and Add Classes") will be turned off at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, June 4, 2012(last day of Late Registration, Drop/Add, for Summer Quarter 2012).
For Fall Quarter 2012, BOSS Web Registration (menu option "Drop and Add Classes") will remain active throughout the Summer Quarter 2012. This feature will be turned off at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, September 10, 2012 (last day of Late Registration, Drop/Add, for Fall Quarter 2012).
