Information Sheet
What is it?
Combine hands-on learning experiences with the fun and excitement of summer camp and you end up with the IDEA Place Summer Science Institute. Our four 1-week programs offer children an in-depth exploration of a variety of scientific phenomena through experimentation, discovery and project-based learning. Topics explored include weather, electricity and magnetism, and, of course SPACE! A detailed itinerary is included on the following pages.
You and your child may select any one of the week-long camps depending on your child’s interests, or you and your child may decide to attend all four weeks. The choice is yours. Camps are designed for children who will be entering grades 1-6 in the fall.
All camp fees include snacks, supplies, planetarium and pool fees, and all other expenses associated with the camp. (Lunch is available at $15 per week)
Camps start at 9:00 a.m. Monday through Friday, and end at 2:00 p.m.
Extended hours are available for an additional fee. Please call 257-2794 or 257-2866 for additional information.
