Louisiana Board of Regents Superior Graduate Fellowships
The Louisiana Board of Regents provides graduate fellowship support to graduate departments and units throughout the state that have established records of excellence. The Recruitment of Superior Graduate Students (RSGS) is a highly competitive funding source for graduate programs to recruit exceptional student candidates. Since 1999, faculty in the Department of Speech has received funding for four Graduate Fellowships for speech-language pathology and audiology. The following students received funding for two years of full-time graduate study:
2004-2006: Dana Power, Speech-Language Pathology. Faculty: Dr. J. Clarice Dans. Thesis: Burnout and the Impact on the Speech-Language Pathologist-Client Interaction. Thesis Advisor: Dr. Angie F. Sherman. Master of Arts Awarded: May, 2005.
2002-2004: Shannon Jett, Audiology. Faculty: Dr. Edward L. Goshorn. Thesis Completed: The Effects of Lag-Time on Perception of Monaural and Binaural Monosyllabic Words in Children with Auditory Processing Disorders. Thesis Advisor: Dr. Edward L. Goshorn. Master of Arts Awarded: May, 2004
