FOLDER:001 DESCRIPTION: "History of Concord Institute, 1876-1885": According to this article the Concord Institute in Union Parish was established to commemorate the centennial of the Declaration of Independence. It was located at Shiloh, Louisiana, and advertised as the Shiloh Academy. It was sponsored by the Concord Association and flourished until it burned in 1885.
