On behalf of the Interfraternity council, we would like to say welcome to Louisiana Tech University. Our University boasts a reputation of academic excellence and encourages students to take pride in being a Tech Bulldog.
College can be a rewarding experience both academically and socially. With that being said, becoming involved in an organization is a great way to gain leadership skills and enhance your college experience. Joining a Greek fraternity is also a great way to make the most of college life while becoming a part of a life-long brotherhood. Fraternities offer a wide variety of activities, leadership opportunities, and help you develop a social network that will ensure success throughout your college career and afterwards.
Those interested in men's formal recruitment are encouraged to sign up during summer orientation and during the first couple of weeks of fall quarter. Men's recruitment week will be held October 4th through 9th. Recruitment can seem like an intimidating and daunting task, however, our Greek system offers a variety of different fraternities with each having their own unique qualities. We hope that you choose to participate in recruitment and if there is anything we can do, please feel free to contact us.
The IFC Council
The Interfraternity Council® Creed
We, the Interfraternity Council, exist to promote the shared interests and values of our member fraternities: leadership, service, brotherhood, and scholarship. We believe in Fraternity and that the shared values of Fraternity drive the IFC to create better communities, better chapters, and better men.
We work to advance the academic mission of the host institution, to enable fraternal organizations to grow and thrive through collaboration and teamwork, to provide an outlet for self-governance and accountability, and to model and teach ethical leadership. In a spirit of mutual support and betterment, we, the men of the Interfraternity Council, pledge to elevate the Ritual and the values of the member organizations.
