Safety and Security
Our residence halls are staffed by live-in employees, who are trained to provide assistance in many situations. Residential Life works in close conjunction with our University Police to ensure the safety of the residents and facilities. University Police provides campus walkers, who check buildings for locked doors and unusual activity. Our officers respond to calls from staff and residents promptly and make routine patrols through the community.
In an effort to enhance our residence halls' safety, we will be providing each resident with a key fob that allows keyless entry into their residence halls. With this system, sounding alarms and cameras will allow our staff and University Police to know immediately when a door is ajar after a designated hour or when there are signs of unusual activity.
