Panhellenic Recruitment Frequently Asked Questions

1. When is Fall recruitment?
Panhellenic Recruitment will be held Wednesday, September 7 - Sunday, September 11, 2011.

2.  When can I register for fall recruitment?
Online registration is now open and will last until the first day of recruitment, Wednesday, September 7, 2011.

3. What are recommendation letters and do I need one?
See the Letters of Recommendation link.

4. How do I register for recruitment?**
Registration is now completely online!  Beginning June 1, 2011 you will have access to our online registration site where you will fill out the application, upload a picture and make your payment.  If you would prefer to deliver your check or money order in person, please bring it to Keeny Hall 310, c/o Ashley Allen.  Checks should be made out to Louisiana Tech Panhellenic.

5. What is the recruitment registration deadline?
Sorority recruitment applications and fees must be received by Friday, August 26, 2011 @ 5pm to be eligible for the $85 rate.  Registration will continue until Wednesday, September 7, 2011, although applications will be subject to a $15 fee increase.

6.  What do my fees cover?
The recruitment registration fee covers your recruitment t-shirt, four meals and snacks during recruitment, access to online registration, mailouts and office supplies used during recruitment.

** Recruitment Registration is not complete until the application fee is received & confirmed. 
*** Please note that registering with a local Alumnae Panhellenic or third party business does not register you for recruitment.  In order to participate in Louisiana Tech's Formal Recruitment, you must complete the online application and we must receive all necessary documents.

7.  How will I know I am registered?
Once you have completed your online registration, the Panhellenic office will confirm your registration by sending you an email to the address you provided in your application.

9. What do Panhellenic sororities have to offer?
Panhellenic sororities provide support systems for their members that become like a home away from home.  Greek membership fosters leadership, academic enrichment, career development, community service, and good citizenship.  Panhelelnic sororities also provide friendships and memoreis that will last a lifetime, making for a well-rounded and unforgettable college experience.

10. What is a Gamma Chi?
A Gamma Chi is a recruitment counselor that helps guide you during the recruitment process.  She is an active sorority member who disaffiliates temporarily from her sorority to guide and support women through the recruitment process.  All Potential New Members will be assigned to a Gamma Chi group prior to recruitment.
