"Every Woman's Center" (Established in 1999) The mission of the University Women's Center is to provide a supportive environment to enhance the educational attainment level and subsequently the quality of life for the women students of Louisiana Tech University. The Women's Center contributes to the overall mission of the University by: * Helping to create an active, aware, affirming community for the University women * Providing a physical environment where issues of particular interest and benefits to women can be heard and examined * Offering services and programs to empower women to pursue and achieve self-developed goals * Creating a physical hub of communications and activies that fosters and enriches networking opportunities among all women * Serving as a resource center for University-recognized women's groups by accommodating meeting and program space Facility donated by the Delta Zeta National Sorority Utilization Guidelines Function will enhance the educational experiences for women participants Function will be requested by a University recognized student organization Utilization Procedures Complete "Request for Use of Facility" form - available in Student Services, 310 Keeny Hall Provide a $25 deposit to be returned upon inspection of the facility Capacity Accommodates a capacity of 100 in each of the two levels. Opportunity for Donation In an effort to enhance the concept of the center as belonging to "Every Woman", the Advisory Council is accepting donations to the alumni fund for furnishings. Acknowledgement of gifts will be permanently displayed in the Center.
