University Tour Committees

Louisiana Tech University recognizes that there are occasions when University faculty will organize study abroad opportunities that require University approval. The following structure has been created to clarify responsibilities:

College Review Tour Committee

The College Review Tour Committee, chaired by the dean of the college, will review/approve any study-tour in which the majority of the academic work required for earning semester hour(s) credit is to be accomplished on the Louisiana Tech campus and the remaining, lesser quantity of academic work is to be accomplished through travel and/or in a study residence outside the Tech campus.

  • Applications must be made to the Committee at least two full quarters prior to the tour.
  • Should the study-tour involve international travel, the proposal must also be reviewed and approved by the University Tour Committee.
  • The Committee's recommendation will be forwarded to the Vice President of Academic Affairs for approval.

 

University Tour Committee

The University Tour Committee will review/approve and Study Abroad Tour in which the majority of the academic work required for earning semester hour(s) credit is to be accomplished through travel and/or in a study residence outside of the Tech campus.

  • Applications must be made to the Committee at least two full quarters prior to the tour.
  • The Committee's recommendation will be forwarded to the Vice President of Academic Affairs for approval.
