As Director of the Science and Technology Education
Center, responsible for management and operation of the IDEA
Place Math and Science Discovery Center, the Planetarium, NASA
Educator Resource Center, and the SciTEC Model Math/Science
Classroom. These facilities serve approximately 20,000 K-12
students annually.

Project Director for over $5 million in funded projects
since 2000, with over $1 million in grants currently active.
In addition to overall project management and fiscal
responsibility for grant initiatives, managed budget for the
IDEA Place and Planetarium.

As a member of the PK-16+ Council, actively involved in
collaborative projects with school systems in the region to
promote student achievement, particularly in mathematics and
science.

Actively involved with several school systems in the
development of professional development programs specifically
designed to meet the needs of the school system based on test
data.

Actively involved in promoting public science education
through summer science programs for K-12 students, family
science nights, and Saturday Science Showcases at the IDEA
Place Mathematics and Science Discovery Center.

Actively involved with the Department of Field and
Clinical Experiences to provide a diverse set of field
experiences for teacher
