PROGRAM HEAD'S MESSAGE
Hello from the Curriculum, Instruction, and Leadership Department and from all the associated faculty and staff.
This Department is charged with developing and implementing most of the teacher education and all of the school leadership preparation programs for the College of Education. The Department offers 18 programs at the undergraduate degree and a number of programs at advanced master’s and doctor’s degrees. For those persons already possessing a degree in the content area (such as science, mathematics, English, social studies, business), the Department also offers an alternative track to achieve certification as an educator culminating with a Master’s degree. All programs located in this Department are recognized by the
National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) as meeting national teacher education and school leadership standards.

You are invited to browse the various areas of the website to further learn of the Department and its offerings. If questions still arise, feel free to contact the Departmental office at 318-257-4609. The Departmental secretary, Mrs. Terri Sullivan, will help you find the correct faculty member to assist with your needs.
Sincerely,
David E. Gullatt, Ph.D.
